Canaan Palestine
Created in 2004, Canaan Palestine is now made up of more than 2400 farmers in 52 cooperatives across the country. Canaan was founded on the fundamental belief that farmers deserve dignity and access to markets, despite hardships that political instability poses.
Canaan farmers tend to olive tree groves that are over 3000 years old. Each olive oil sold supports local school, agricultural, and community projects, in addition to supporting sustainable wages for farmers and their families. Since 2006, more than $1 million USD has been invested back into farmers through Canaan Palestine's trading infrastructure.
