Malia Designs, based in Cambodia, boasts a wide selection of bags and accessories that are easy on the environment. Since 2005, the fair trade enterprise has created hundreds of dignified jobs for marginalized people (many of whom are deaf, at risk of trafficking, polio survivors, or have been injured by landmines). Their items are handcrafted using recycled cotton canvas and feed bags.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Cambodia and its inhabitants have been hit especially hard. To adapt to such a crisis, Malia's artisans have pivoted to making masks from repurposed fabric remnants. By purchasing from Malia Designs, you're providing jobs to otherwise overlooked Cambodians and enabling Malia Designs to donate more than $170,000 to organizations fighting human trafficking.
